Saturday, April 3 - Huge show this weekend:
First Hour - Week in review with Rocketman, JB and Mitch, and featuring Jason Van Beek of South Dakota Politics, the essential blog about...well, South Dakota Politics. He'll be giving his insights about the race for the US Senate seat in South Dakota, which has taken some fascinating turns in the last year and the last week. Plus our usual discussion about the Presidential campaign. Second Hour - Rowan Scarborough, from the Washington Times. We may land an additional surprise guest as well - stay tuned. Featuring Rocketman, King, the Big Trunk and Mitch. Third Hour - the Fraters crew (including the long-awaited return of Atomizer in the #4 hosting seat). The hour will take its usual twists and turns through the Zeitgeist. Or something like that. Tuesday, March 23, 2004
Streaming Along - One of the most common questions we get from the Northern Alliance website is "When will you guys start streaming?"
The answer is - as soon as we can. We have a couple of options open to us right now. Each has pros and cons. We - and AM1280 The Patriot - are working out which of the options works best. So - the bad news is, we don't know exactly when streaming is coming. The good news? It'll happen, and probably sooner than later. Hang in there! Saturday, March 20, 2004
Today's Show - First hour - Kerry bashing. Someone asked me after the show "OK - so do you actually support President Bush, or do you just bash Kerry?" Sigh. OK, next week - why I support Bush.
Second Hour - Interview with Joel Rosenberg. I highly recommend his book, "Everything You Need To Know About (Legally) Carrying A Handgun In Minnesota", as well as his handgun training classes. Third Hour - the Fraters guys and I hammered on FrankenNet. Yeah, it's called AirAmerica, but I can't bear to call it anything but FrankenNet. It fits.
Web Botox - The long-awaited - or at least much-needed - facelift is here!
Sunday, March 14, 2004
As Promised - During the show yesterday, we promised to post some of the photography from the coverage of the Madrid bombings.
The NY Times had this slideshow with photos showing the power of the blasts, and this one showing Spaniards and others in mourning. Some of the photography is stunning. And the images? I've seen nothing like them Friday, March 12, 2004
Also On Tomorrow's Show - Peter Bell, chairman of the Metropolitan Council, will talk about the bus strike, transit in the city, and much more. Listen for Mr. bell during the 1:00 hour tomorrow!
Saturday, March 13 - State Education Commissioner Cheri Pearson Yecke will appear in the second hour (1PM) this weekend.
Also - Kerry on Foreign Policy, Gay Marriage in Minnesota, the Passion, and Episode Two of "Hack Columnist Of the Week". Will Brian Lambert repeat? Stay tuned! Sunday, March 07, 2004
First Show Wrapup - Thanks to everyone that tuned in!
If you didn't hear the show, how'd it go? Captain Ed liveblogged the show and the post show party. And Wisconsin blogger "Brainstorming" had a great review (after going to great lengths to hear the show in the first place). Friday, March 05, 2004
On Tomorrow's Show - In the first hour - The Week In Review, with Saint Paul, Captain Ed and Rocket Man.
At 1PM, we'll have a guest from Saint Olaf College, talking about the response to the "Peace-In" at St. Olaf College, featuring Big Trunk. Rocketman and King will join the conversation. Finally, in the two-o'clock hour, we'll be discussing the Hack Columnist of the Week with JB Doubtless, King and some other special guests. Call in, starting at noon! |
